Sleep
Sleep is one of the most powerful biological processes supporting both mental and physical health. During sleep, the brain consolidates memories, regulates emotional processing, restores neurotransmitter balance, and clears metabolic waste. The body uses this time to repair tissues, regulate hormones, and support immune function.
Chronic sleep deprivation is associated with a wide range of health concerns, including anxiety, depression, impaired concentration, weight gain, cardiovascular disease, and weakened immunity. Even modest reductions in sleep quality or duration can significantly affect mood, energy, and cognitive performance.
Most adults require 7–9 hours of quality sleep per night. Maintaining a consistent sleep schedule, limiting late-night screen exposure, and creating a calm bedtime routine can dramatically improve sleep quality and overall health.
